What You Will Do

As our Customer Master Data Senior Analyst you will be responsible for the management of the quality and integrity of customer master data within Stryker Canada's ERP. Accurate and complete customer data is critical for ensuring a positive customer experience; from product shipping to the correct customer location, to ensuring Stryker is paid in a timely manner. This position is responsible for managing all aspects of customer master data management, from customer set-up, to modifications, to deactivations. Much of this role will be to ensure that any changes, or requested changes, made to the data structure or systems are reviewed thoroughly to ensure data integrity, and any potential impacts on downstream processes and systems are understood. This position plays a key role in ensuring Stryker Canada's compliance with local, corporate and regulatory policies for the governance of data. This position will partner with various internal departments to ensure that all stakeholder needs are met, including playing a key role in managing the timeline for the integration of new business acquisitions.

This position will work closely with the Customer Service, Sales Support, and Financial Compliance and must serve as a contributing member of the Finance team while championing Stryker's Mission and Values.

Individual Responsibilities:

  • Proactively collaborates with internal teams/departments to promote a culture of inclusiveness, cooperation and excellence.

  • Act as a liaison for multiple departments on various initiatives.

Functional Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the quality and integrity of customer master data in Canada's ERP system, including new customer/account set ups, modifications, maintenance, and deactivations.

  • Responsible for verifying the uniqueness and consistency of data to maintain data integrity, both in day-to-day activities and as part of the annual data review & clean up.

  • Responsible for alerting management and other stakeholders to potential issues prior to them occurring and providing solutions to help reduce any impacts that may be experienced by the business or customers.

  • Document internal instructions/processes and collaborate with internal departments to ensure awareness and compliance with customer data process changes, in compliance with SOX requirements.

  • Analyze, address, and escalate broken or missing processes. Work with internal departments to identify gaps in existing processes and work collaboratively on solutions.

  • Act as the subject matter expert for the Customer Master Data management team, including partnering with Customer Service, Sales Support and Operations and providing ad hoc reporting when needed.

  • Provide training on concepts, functionality, processes, issues, etc. to internal business functions as required.

  • Manage effective transition of business acquisitions, including review of legacy account data to ensure compliance with Stryker policy, and manage integration of data. Work with acquisition and local teams to predict and troubleshoot and potential delays on integration.

Knowledge & Skill Requirements

  • Must be able to actively participate in business-wide discussions to solve issues on a large-scale with competing viewpoints and urgent needs.

  • Must be able to understand complex processes, abstract structures and follow detailed operating procedures.

  • Project and time management skills; must be able to prioritize and handle shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

  • Highly proactive with the ability to collaborate with other groups and individuals.

  • Highly computer literate, proficient in Excel and other MS Office applications

What You Will Need

  • Bachelor of Business Administration or Commerce degree required

  • Minimum of 2 years of data analysis or financial analyst experience required

  • Knowledge of Oracle 11i ERP, SAP, Hyperion, Cognos highly preferred

  • Experience managing multiple stakeholders highly preferred

  • Experience building out processes preferred

  • Experience working in global, matrixed environment preferred

  • Internal applicants with an equivalent combination of education, experience and performance over time at Stryker will be considered
