We would like to invite applications for the role of Payroll Specialist (1 year FTC) at our site in Waterford. The Payroll Specialist Role is responsible for assisting in the processing and completing the payroll process in Ireland.

A Day in the Life of our Payroll Specialist

• Processing the organisations payroll in a timely and accurate manner

• Responsible for the publishing and enforcement of deadlines and cut-offs as required for the running of the payroll process

• Accurately creating and maintaining employee payroll data and records by gathering calculating, inputting and safeguarding data as necessary

• Maintaining the ticketing system which holds request and issues logged by employees

• Adheres to company policies and procedures and complies with relevant laws.

• Responding to payroll related queries from employees, outsourced payroll provider and third party suppliers in a professional, timely and competent manner

• Verifying data for payroll by checking carefully the information received

• Maintaining filing of employee payroll data as required

• Creating reports and distributing as and when required

• Other ad-hoc jobs and actions which are applicable to the payroll function

Who we are looking for

Are you….

• Educated to Payroll Technician Level or have 2 years’ Experience in HR/Payroll Environment

Do you have….

• Good written and spoken communication skills

• A good understanding of local legislation affecting payroll

• Strong payroll skills to understand the full end to end processing of payroll including knowledge of making tax and social security calculations.

• Strong IT literacy: proficiency in the basic functions of MS Word and experience of using MS Excel at an intermediate level
