About This Role

The Senior Instructor for MHC will be responsible to the Lead Instructor, for the overall management and coordination of CAE training resources and operational training requirements of the training devices supported for the PSTC Mine Hunter Coastal (MHC) Training Facility.

This role will be the subject matter expert, provide mentoring and guidance to the instructors within their area of expertise. This role will be based at HMAS Waterhen, Sydney.

The role we are offering you

• Oversee the successful delivery of all training operations services

• Review, assess and recommend continuous improvements to courseware, training materials and training devices

• Develop a competent workforce by monitoring the staffing, training, development and motivation of all supervised employees

• Deliver input to budget and forecasting of results

Our ideal candidate has:

• Cert IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116 or 40122)

• Platform experience – Royal Australian Navy Huon Class Mine Hunter Vessel

• Experience across multiple instructional methods

• Experience contributing to training program design

Security requirements

As the Australian Department of Defence is a major client, you must be eligible for SECRET (NV1) level Defence security clearance, and preferably already hold a current SECRET (NV1) clearance.
