Reporting to the Production Scheduler & Material Handling Supervisor, the Inventory Specialist will be responsible for coordinating, planning, and performing shop floor activities supporting our incredible growth in both our new equipment and aftermarket businesses. This position will utilize SAP and Excel tools to ensure the right material is in the right place at the right times.. This role will collaborate with others to guarantee material availability and inventory planning are synchronized for optimum customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Report and analyze questionable stocking processes and levels

  • Conduct inventory cycle counts of items in stock to ensure accuracy

  • Root cause variances in inventory

  • Pull and issue parts (using SAP) from stock for production jobs

  • Support outbound shipments according to procedure

  • Plan for LTL, FTL, and courier shipments

  • Pay attention to levels of shipping/packing materials and order as needed

  • Finalize paperwork for new equipment shipments

  • Develop and implement inventory operational standards for staff compliance

  • Utilize computer systems to electronically track inventory flow, scan stock, and reconcile inventory

  • Coordinate aftermarket deliveries to customers

  • Record information for periodic inventory reconciliation

  • Coordinate and manage daily physical part counts

  • Team with purchasing and operations personnel to ensure optimal inventory levels

  • Review and recommend inventory stocking levels for aftermarket support

  • Follow all company’s procedures and protocols

  • Build positive relationships with coworkers

  • Grow into being able to self-manage your day and expectations rather than needing to be directed

    Qualifications:

  • Must be able to work independently with little supervision

  • Familiarity with warehousing and/or manufacturing environments

  • Strong organizational, planning, and critical technical skills

  • Ability to prioritize several competing needs and focus on the details while not losing sight of the big picture

  • Ability to read and understand work instructions

  • Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly

    Computer skills:

  • Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access) with PowerBI preferred

  • SAP One Experience Preferred

  • Lean DNA experience preferred

  • Ability to use data to drive decisions
