MaineGeneral Health Pharmacy Technician OR Senior Pharmacy Techs in Waterville, Maine

Job Summary:We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacy Technician or Senior Technician. This full time role is responsible for all acute care functions such as sterile and non-sterile compounding as well as distributive functions. Core hours are 6:30a-3:00p with no weekends, holidays or call.General ResponsibilitiesRefills and maintains automated dispensing systems, and prepares compounds within scope of practice.Provides advanced level of support to peers, pharmacists, internal and external customers. Assists in new policy and procedure development and implementation, as well as staff mentoring and training.Prepares orders and maintains inventory for the pharmacy and other service departments. Assists in monitoring and performing various quality tasks to assure regulatory compliance.Complies with requirements of Pharmacy Services staffing program to meet the needs of the Pharmacy department.Sterile compounding of biologic IV medications for the infusion center with a high degree of accuracy.The ideal candidate will have:Eligible for Maine state licensure as a Pharmacy Technician with the Maine Board of Pharmacy required.Certification as a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) required for senior techs. Self-sufficient, able to prioritize workflow, demonstrate successful use of critical thinking and problem solving skills.

Job Description:
