Ethos Veterinary Health Veterinary Assistant, Oncology in Waukesha, Wisconsin

The Wisconsin Veterinary Referral Center in Waukesha, WI is hiring a full- time Veterinary Assistant to join our Oncology team!

 

Schedule Details: Monday – Friday (5/8 hour shifts per week & 4 holiday’s a year)

About WVRC:  WVRC, Waukesha is recognized as a certified Level 1 Emergency and Critical Care Facility by the Veterinary Emergency & Critical Care Society (VECCS).

We have three hospital locations: Waukesha, Racine and Grafton all dedicated to providing patients, clients, and referring veterinarians the highest quality emergency and specialty veterinary medical care.     Must be friendly, professional, courteous, and capable of handling several tasks at once with frequent interruptions.  Must be able to take direction from multiple staff members while adhering to training standards.

     

Essential Functions:

 

Multi-tasking and attention to detail skills are required.  Must have the ability to stand for the majority of the work period and enough stamina to work past the regularly scheduled shifts, if needed. 

 

Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Restraining of patients

  • Cleaning Kennels, Floors, etc.

  • Stocking the treatment areas

  • Laundry

  • Taking patients outside

  • Feeding patients

  • Client communication

    About You:

  • Able to work in a highly collaborative environment and commitment to develop long-term relationships with colleagues, clients, and community

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

  • Positive outlook, a passion for providing the highest quality in patient care and the ability to deliver exceptional client service.

    Qualifications:

  • Must have worked or volunteered working with dogs and cats at a clinic, Humane Society, Kennel, or similar
