DESCRIPTION OF WORK As a Social Worker 1, you are responsible for providing a wide range of services and interventions to our consumers who have a primary mental health diagnosis. You ensure that services are relevant and appropriate to the consumer's age and backgrounds. In addition, you identify and discuss options for alleviating problems or improving these services while ensuring compliance with both Medicare and Medical Assistance criteria.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment, 37.5-hour work week Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch. May change based on operational needs. The Department of Human Services provides excellent benefits, pay increases, paid leave and holidays, as well as opportunities for career advancement. Overtime and travel may be required as needed. A bachelor's or master's degree in social work or social welfare. Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree. Other Requirements:

A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination and a drug screening. This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
