The Supervisor of Sales Development is responsible for providing direction, leadership, training and coaching to the Sales Development Managers (SDM). The Supervisor will perform these daily activities in support of the SDMs: lead generation efforts, maintenance, and sales growth through new and/or existing customers in assigned territories. This position will also have individual SDM responsibilities on a smaller scale and lead by example through sales growth. They will encourage a pro-active approach to problem identification and resolution, and will liaise between all Olympus operational departments as needed. The Supervisor/Associate Manager of Sales Development reports to the Director of Sales Development and will perform other duties to assist as needed.
Meet or exceed goals set forth within his/her individual SDM responsibilities.
Assist in the resolution of escalated issues. This can include performance management, customer escalations, and adherence to company policies.
Work with management in developing reporting on Sales Development performance and challenges/opportunities by providing up to date information and highlighting areas.
Prepare and update departmental work instructions, work process aids, and training materials.
Assist Director of Sales Development with prioritization of assignments and project management.
Hold regular business review meetings with SDMs and field-based sales teams.
Work with Omnichannel team to develop new commercial opportunities and ‘plays’.
Bachelor’s degree required.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in sales/sales management.
Other Considerations (travel/hours availability, etc.): · Ability to travel as needed, 10-25%. Occasional evening and weekend hours as needed.
Consistent record of sales results.
Demonstrated proficiency with Salesforce.com or other CRM.
Experience with remote technology (call centers, VOIP) .
Call coaching and performance management experience.
Analytical mindset/data mining abilities with ability to translate into actionable data.
Identify trends and quickly adjust plan accordingly- potential opportunities and challenges.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
