**[Motor Vehicle Mechanic - Reset Program (FHTX) [Fort Hood Army Base, TX
[Job Summary: [Contractor personnel shall provide administrative assistance to Fort Hood Army Base and Gemini Tech Services by using basic and advanced program functions to perform operations which include [responsibility for all production control functions under this effort. The Motor Vehicle Mechanic requires rounded training and experience usually acquired through a formal apprenticeship or equivalent. **[Essential Functions:]{arial=""}]{arial=""}]{arial=""}]{arial=""}]{arial=""}]{arial=""}
- Mechanic duties include repairing, combustion automobiles, buses, trucks, or tractors, as well as enforcing company/contract requirements and standards.
- Must have a comprehensive knowledge of mechanical repair, such as diagnosing the source of trouble and determining the extent of repairs required; replacing worn or broken parts such as piston rings, bearings, or other engine parts.
- Types of repairs include; grinding and adjusting valves, repairing carburetors, installing transmissions, and repairing fuel injection, lighting and ignition systems.
- Maintaining files of documents used and prepared.
- Compiling detailed production sheets or work tickets for use by production workers as guides in assembly or manufacture of products.
[Minimum Qualifications:]{arial=""}
- Must have 2 years of motor vehicle maintenance experience or a combination of formal training and experience in the maintenance and repair of gasoline, diesel, electric-powered light, and heavy wheeled vehicle equipment.
- Knowledgeable in U.S. Army maintenance procedures and AR 750-1.
- Ability to pass Pre-Employment Drug Test and Background Screening.
- Valid Driver's License
- Ability to receive a favorable TIER-1 Investigation and obtain a CAC
- Ability to bring and use own tools
