Description

We are in search of a diligent Patient Access Specialist to join our team in Windchester, Indiana, United States. In this role, you will be tasked with ensuring the smooth running of patient access operations in our healthcare setting. This unique opportunity involves the use of various EHR systems, such as Allscripts, Cerner Technologies, and Epic Software, among others. It also offers a short-term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Efficiently handle patient access duties, ensuring a seamless experience for patients from entry to exit.

• Utilize several EHR Systems such as Allscripts, Cerner Technologies, and Epic Software to manage patient data, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.

• Work collaboratively with the clinical trial operations team to facilitate patient enrollment and follow-up.

• Utilize the Kronos Timekeeping System to manage time and attendance effectively.

• Handle billing functions meticulously, ensuring accurate invoicing and prompt resolution of any discrepancies.

• Oversee benefit functions, ensuring patients are well informed about their benefit entitlements and usage.

• Provide exceptional customer service, addressing patient inquiries promptly and professionally.

• Effectively use the About Time system for efficient time management and task scheduling.

• Participate in weekend work schedules as required, ensuring uninterrupted patient access services.

• Adhere to all healthcare regulations and standards, maintaining professional and ethical conduct at all times.

Requirements • Must have experience with Allscripts, Cerner Technologies, EHR SYSTEM, Epic Software, and Kronos Timekeeping System

• Familiarity with "About Time", Benefit Functions, and Billing Functions is required

• Knowledge of Clinical Trial Operations is a must

• Must demonstrate exceptional customer service skills

• Experience in a patient access specialist role or similar is preferred

• Relevant certification or degree in the healthcare field is desirable

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required

• Must have the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information

• Should have excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure

• Must be detail-oriented and have strong organizational skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team is necessary

• Must be proficient in using computer systems for the collection, coding, and management of patient information.
