Hub International Training Coach in Windsor, Ontario

The Role: We are seeking two (2) Training Coaches to join our Learning & Development team.

Location: Windsor, ON or Ottawa, ON. We offer in-office, hybrid, and remote work flexibility.

As Training Coach, you are responsible for the development and mentoring of newly licensed brokers during their time in training. Responsibilities may include reviewing client transactions, providing feedback and assistance pertaining to client interactions, as well as providing technical support. The role of the training coach is to act in a supportive capacity while maintaining a positive work environment and an effortless customer experience. Broker work falls within the scope of this role during downtime.

Responsibilities:

  • Nurture and develop trainees’ potential skills and abilities.

  • Work hands-on with trainees, assisting with questions, completing call and transactions reviews, and providing constructive feedback with the goal of developing resourcefulness, problem-solving, critical thinking skills, and ultimately obtaining binding authority.

  • Identify strengths and weaknesses of trainees and work in collaboration with the Team Leader(s) to plan, develop and implement coaching strategies.

  • Identify trends of cohort groups and share with Team Leader(s) in support of improvement efforts.

  • Act as a role model, lead by example and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.

  • Demonstrate and maintain complete understanding of operational processes and workflows.

  • Maintain a working knowledge of all applicable portals, customer relationship management systems, and policy management systems.

  • Exhibit accountability with regard to assigned work, including following up within the appropriate time frames and escalating concerns to the Team Leader(s) with a sense of urgency.

  • Respond favorably to feedback, coaching and training provided, and actively participate in the Employee Quarterly Check-Ins with the Team Leader(s).

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Appropriate insurance license in good standing.

  • Experience as a Broker.

  • Strong computer skills.

  • Post-secondary education preferred.

  • Availability to work various shifts and days of the week as required in order to support the staff.

  • Ability to handle fluctuating work volumes in a fast paced, customer focused environment.

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
