Alamo Group Inc. Customer Service Representative in Winn, Michigan
The receptionist / customer service support rep will be responsible for greeting, welcoming and directing visitors appropriately, maintaining automated phone system and various customer service support duties assigned by the customer service manager.
Essential Functions of the Job:
Serves visitors by greeting, welcoming, and directing them appropriately.
M-F 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM 30-minute lunch
Maintains automated phone system, and answer calls that are re-directed to the operator.
Receive incoming calls from dealers & direct customers from the Customer Support
Handle incoming emails from dealers, customers and through the Ecommerce site
Communicate inter-departmentally and cross-departmentally to ensure all needed parties are aware of status of an open order, credit or any issue to be resolved
Process part sales credits (Common and Annual)
Process customer service expense parts orders
Work with warehouse and logistics on shipment quotes, tracking, changes and issues
Monitor all expedite and customer down orders for dealers to ensure proper steps have been take and communication is made
Process all ship-direct orders for dealers due to expedition
Work cross-departmentally to improve and sustain processes to ensure customer satisfaction
Manage office supply inventory
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA’s):
Excellent organization, time management and communication skills.
Must be multitask oriented, organized, able to set priorities, and meet deadline.
JD Edwards experience is preferred
Self-starter with strong work ethic
Team player, able to work with others to accomplish a common goal
Must have sufficient abilities to effectively communicate with internal Morbark personnel and outside customers in both written and oral form
Must have the ability to work without direct and constant supervision
Must project a professional image within the work place and in public
Must know when confidentiality is to be maintained
Must be dedicated and portray enthusiasm for the company, as expressed by daily attitude
Must possess a basic operational knowledge of computer programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook, and Internal Software.
Must have the ability to adapt to change
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Prior receptionist or customer service experience a must.
Postural changes such as sitting, reaching, climbing, standing, walking & lifting (intermittent)
Ability to lift 25 lbs. to waist high
