Peerless Chain Co. General Production Worker in Winona, Minnesota

All employees must be able to work 1st, 2nd and 3rd shift. ESSENTIAL FUNCTION: From verbal or written instructions including operator sheets, blueprints, specification sheets, routing sheets, and any other production forms required by management, performs a variety of duties which include but are not limited to the following; measure and cut chain, operate benders, presses, cutting machines, and manual or automated traction lines, assembly of many different types of chains and chain accessories, operates reelers, transfers products, welds components, performs packaging operations, and works with the JDE/RFS computer system. May be required to perform general clean-up as assigned. GPW s are expected to be cross-trained and proficient on the variety of tasks within the department. WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The employee is occasionally exposed to vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
