Please review the following job description:
Receive, scan, file and release titles. Record and release Uniform Commercial Code (UCC's). Ensure that documents such as title filings are properly recorded with the appropriate agency. Review reports and follow up on missing items from titles from dealers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.
Take customer, dealer, and other third-party calls regarding title and lien perfection issues.
Enter titles in Sheffield loan servicing system and file titles in the safe.
Coordinate the scanning of the titles.
Review and process scanned title exceptions in Sheffield exception portal daily.
File UCC 1 and UCC 3 in CT Lien Solutions. Review daily UCC file for exception management.
Mail titles, Manufactures Statement of Origin (MSO) or other documents to the customer upon satisfaction of loan.
Pull titles, MSOs, and UCC for charge-offs or repossessed accounts.
Work daily in VINTEK to process exceptions, obtaining account information for titles that have been received via e-filing.
Prepare and send Letters of Guarantee to insurance companies if a customer has wrecked or totaled the financed equipment.
Send titles back to Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) or dealers to have mistakes corrected.
Research missing titles or lien filings with dealerships and/or DMV.
Ensure state lien perfection requirements are correct and up to date for collateral finance.
Assist and educate dealers with Sheffield expectations regarding title and lien perfection.
QUALIFICATIONS

High School diploma or equivalent
Three years of related experience
Demonstrated knowledge in banking or financial services
Excellent communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
Strong organizational skills
Ability to multi-task
Ability to work in a fast paced environment
Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business or related field, or equivalent education and related training
Two years of title or lien perfection experience
