Raytheon is looking for an experienced senior engineer to serve as the AN/TPY-2 Radar Capabilities (RCAP) IPT Technical Lead at our Woburn, MA location, reporting directly to the RCAP IPT Lead.

The AN/TPY-2 RCAP IPT Technical Lead is responsible for successful technical execution of all RCAP scope, establishing and maintaining strategic relationships with the customer, and furthering program growth through customer relationships and coordination with SMD S3 Technical Director, Requirements & Capability Lead, and Chief Engineer. The candidate will also interface with Chief Engineer, Integration Product Teams, Cross Product Teams, and Chief Product Owner within the AN/TPY-2 portfolio to resolve issues.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

  • Ensure technical integrity and engineering execution across Cross Product Teams (CPTs), and disciplines within the Program to meet schedule and technical requirements

  • Manage and influence customer expectations through timely and accurate communication, and advocate for most effective user solutions and capabilities.

  • Lead Raytheon’s Engineering gate/design review process (e.g. Preliminary Design Review, Critical Design Review, Test Readiness Review, Production Readiness Review, and Ship Readiness Review)

  • Primary IPT technical point of contact with External Labs

  • Primary IPT technical point of contact with GFx

  • Manage Test Activities for the IPT at different test sites

  • Facilitate and coordinate Fielding of the Software to Radars

  • Primary IPT point of contact for hardware coordination

  • Facilitate the technical development of Engineering personnel

    Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree and 10+ year’s professional experience in aerospace/defense industry is required

  • Demonstrated capability as an Engineering Leader of large multi-disciplinary teams

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a complex environment

  • Experience defining and driving technical execution plans

  • Existing DoD Secret clearance or higher

    Qualifications We Value:

  • Advanced degree is preferred

  • Professional experience in aerospace/defense industry with emphasis on missile defense and ground based sensors

  • Experience with Missile Defense Agency

  • Strong interpersonal skills working in a team environment with positive interaction

  • Demonstrated history of mentoring and apprenticing other engineers

  • Demonstrated ability to lead failure investigation teams to root cause determination

This requisition is eligible for an employee referral award. ALL eligibility requirements must be met to receive the referral award.

The salary range for this role is 118,000 USD - 246,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
