Maintain and analyze databases of international freight delivery and imports to determine optimal transportation routes and shipment methods for corporate customers; Develop and maintain freight rate databases to determine the most economical modes of global transportation; Evaluate international transportation processes and systems to identify inefficiencies or opportunities for improvement; Monitor the flow of vehicles and other modes of transportation, utilizing shipment and container tracking system and EDI (electronic data interchange) systems; Execute timely flow of imported cargos by overseeing cargo tracking, customs clearance and delivery; Interpret data and analyze international transportation performance to conduct root cause analysis to identify anomalies and lead corrective actions; and Maintain close relationship and actively communicate with ocean and air carriers, freight forwarders, customs broker, and trucking companies to track shipments and keep delivery dates updated.
