Job Description
The Welder will be responsible for performing MIG welding on horizontal and vertical positions. These welds will be applied to construction buckets for heavy machinery, such as Caterpillar. The welder will work in their own welding cell, focusing solely on steel materials.
Responsibilities
Perform MIG welding on horizontal and vertical positions
Weld construction buckets for heavy machinery, specifically Caterpillar
Work independently within an assigned welding cell
Read and interpret blueprints to execute welds accurately
Ensure all welds meet quality standards
Essential Skills
Proficiency in MIG welding
Ability to read and interpret blueprints
Experience with weld assembly and fabrication
Knowledge of weld shop practices
Familiarity with welding steel materials
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with TIG welding
Ability to weld aluminum and mild steel
Vocational or community college training in welding
Certifications from institutions like Lake Washington Technical College
Willingness to take on recent graduates

Work Environment
You will be working with a team of 15 welders in a well-equipped weld shop. The work schedule includes two shifts: 1st Shift from 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday to Thursday, and 2nd Shift from 3:30 PM to 1:30 AM, Monday to Thursday. The environment is focused on collaboration and maintaining high-quality welding standards.
