TECHNICAL SALES MANAGER

WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?

We are seeking a Technical Sales Manager to lead a team of Technical Sales Consultants. As a pivotal sales leader, you will be responsible for ensuring that the Technical Sales Consultants develop and grow revenue by engaging in the sale of complex payment and liquidity solutions. In this role, the manager will be responsible for developing go to market strategies along with Treasury Management Sales leadership, sharing market feedback with Product Management Leadership, and collaborating with Treasury Management Operations to improve client onboarding and service experience. As a leadear of the Technical Sales team, you will be responsible for ensuring that the team is consistently using a holistic approach to consultation that includes an expert understanding of the bank's treasury management tools and their impact on the cash flow cycle and working capital. Although the primary functions of this role can be completed remotely, approximately 20% business travel is required to meet clients, attend conferences and join occasional internal meetings. This position will report to the Head of Technical and Inside Sales

What you will do

  • Lead, coach and mentor a team of Technical Sales Consultants to increase revenue and closed/win ratios by bringing a level of expertise around cash flow cycles, working capital and financial products acumen.

  • Collaborate with Treasury Management Sales Leaders to ensure that the team is using a collaborative approach for client acquisition.

  • Work with Production Management and Marketing Teams to ensure that our offerings meet client needs and stay ahead of industry trends.

  • Conduct market research identify opportunities and identify client needs through networking, social media, and other avenues.

  • Prepare and deliver demonstrations of the bank's various treasury management platforms.

  • Develop strong relationships with Treasury Management Sales, Product and Operation leaders to foster long-term business growth and collaboration.

  • Regularly review team performance and metrics and provide feedback and performance improvement strategies.

  • Approximately 20% Business travel is required to meet clients and to attend conferences and internal meetings.

  • Maintains a proactive commitment to established Bank programs, such as CustomerFirst, Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) and Equal Employment Opportunity.

  • Complies fully with all Bank Operational and Credit policies and procedures as well as all regulatory requirements (e.g. Bank Secrecy Act, Know Your Client, Community Reinvestment Act, Fair Lending Practices, Code of Conduct, etc.).

  • Completes all special projects as requested.

Must-Have*

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, and/or related field; Masters degree preferred

  • Minimum 7 years of technical sales or cash management sales experience in a financial services environment required.

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in managing/leading sales teams is required.

Skills and Knowledge

  • Knowledge of sales techniques and principles to effectively market treasury management services.

  • Strong written and verbal communications skills.

  • Ability to gather, arranges, compile, interpret, analyze, summarize and evaluate information and data to identify sales opportunities and formulate conclusions and recommended actions.

  • Ability to set priorities, objectives and goals.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a team of sales professionals.

  • Strong understanding of treasury management products, cash flow cycles, and working capital management.

  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.

  • Proficiency in Salesforce.

  • Ability to travel.

Compensation

Salary will vary based on skills, experience, and location. This job is eligible for bonus and/or commissions.
