City National Bank Vendor Management Contract Analyst in Work From Home, New Jersey
VENDOR MANAGEMENT CONTRACT ANALYST
WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?
As an experienced, fully proficient professional with contract management experience, this role will primalrily be responsible for maintaining the vendor contract database and conducting quality assurance reviews on vendor risk management contracts and data reconciliations. This position will work with the Manager of Vendor Risk Governance to build out the quality assurance contract function within the Vendor Management team.
What you will do
Support development of the 1st Line of Defense quality assurance/control program around contracts
Manage and maintain an accurate vendor contract database by aligning to various vendor contracts (e.g. MSA, SOW, Change Order, ELA, etc….)
Support development of the guidelines for quality assurance/control contract reporting across the 1LOD teams; develop reports to Mgmt on QA metrics, trends, root causes, and resolutions
Analyze contract clauses, stipulations, obligations, and liabilities and compare to data within vendor management system of record to ensure accuracy
Perform data entry and reconciliations according to procedures to ensure quality reporting and governance
Review supplier contract terms and conditions and align with vendor management system of record to ensure accuracy
Work across the vendor management team to drive remediation plans and increase quality upfront; Effectively monitor the tracking of issues to ensure timely resolution
Maintain proper information/documentation and records related to the Bank's vendors for both internal and external audits using OCC and FFIEC guidelines as a reference.
Ensure that contract terms comply with legal requirements, policies and standards
Maintain and update policies, procedures and best practices for vendor management contract review and remediation
Maintain records for correspondence and documentation in relation to established contracts and those in progress.
Communicate and present information to stakeholders about all contract-related matters
Keeping informed of amendments to contract law
Continuous evaluation of the contract database governance program for improvements, automation opportunities and efficiencies
Champion and provide risk awareness to the enterprise Vendor Management purpose throughout the organization; train and advise internal CNB staff on the vendor management processes; specifically around contract records management
Support resolution of vendor activities, inquiries, issues, incidents, service requests, and escalations, etc…
Support an environment of continuous improvement.
Support various adhoc projects supporting program enhancements, process improvements, and other functions
Escalate issues to management as required; work to resolve issues as needed
Perform other duties, as assigned
Must-Have*
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
Minimum 2 years experience working in contracts
Minimum of 1 year vendor management, managing vendor contracts and service levels and monitoring vendor performance
Skills and Knowledge
Prefrerred Third Party Risk Management experience
Preferred audit experience
Preferred Industry recognized third party risk management or vendor management certification
Preferred Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office tools; specifically, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint
Preferred Six Sigma certification and project management experience
Recommended four (4) years of focused experience in Vendor Governance, Risk Management, IT, Finance, QA, Audit, and/or equivalent business experience
Excellent analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills required
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Keep up to date with relevant regulatory guidance, industry practices and Bank policies by attending outside forums or staying connected with peer groups industry-wide.
Must be an independent, proactive, organized and diligent worker and able to work with minimal direction;
Ability to research information, problem solve, and make solid business decisions
Ability to report, analyze, interpret, and critically think
Ability to produce accurate and detailed work on multiple projects under time pressure
Ability to effectively manage relationships with internal and external partners
Ability to work in a fast paced and changing environment
Skill in attention to detail, time management, written and oral communication, multi-tasking, and working in a team atmosphere adhering to tight deadlines
Must be able to multi-task and handle voluminous workflow, work under tight deadlines, balance multiple, detailed tasks simultaneously and prioritize appropriately
Must be able to respond quickly and positively to shifting demands and opportunities
Compensation
Starting base salary: $34.55 - $55.19 per hour. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. This job is eligible for bonus and/or commissions.
