General Electric Architect Electrical Engineer in Wuxi, China

Job Description Summary

As an Architect, Electrical Engineer of power system on ARC products, you will take the ownership for power system platform design including battery, AC/DC, PMB, power cable, and the verification, maintenance activities for ARC products across all ARC sites. The owner of this position will help to define and execute the product roadmap and profiles for power system and design reliability strategy, work with program manager and the PEACE Corp across sites to ensure this strategy is implemented. The Architect Electrical Engineer shall master the practical application of engineering principals, achieves expertise in Electrical Engineering on power system, and investigates new techniques as part of a team. The Architect Electrical Engineer is responsible for review and guide electrical product/subsystem release solutions; meeting marketing/customer requirements with reliability, manufacturing ability, maintenance, and cost consideration.

Job Description

This opportunity is available for a person interested in working with the R&D team responsible for Anesthesia and Respiratory medical devices.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Define and review the design guidance for power system architecture on digital/analog/power circuit, select electrical components, Schematics and PCB layout, debugging, verification.

  • Standardize power system design expectations, such as circuit design guideline, cable selection guideline, thermal test /reliability test process and design requirements to teams for new product development to improve quality of new releases.

  • Review the design specification, verification plan with QMS process and design documentations.

  • Engaging in all phases of new product introduction and Installed base development, including concept, architecture, documentation, design, prototype, test, supplier interfaces, manufacturing introduction and service support.

  • Conduct complaints data review and FTA analysis for installed base and new product reliability using FMEA, Weibull Analysis and DFR tools.

  • New design/simulation tools research the design reliability and design simulation for DC/DC converting/switching, Battery charger and discharger (LA, Lithium) etc.

  • Identifying and developing new opportunities to leverage Strategic Sourcing objectives and Common Technology initiatives in the modality product line.

Qualifications/Requirements:

Required Qualifications :

  • Major in Electrical/Electronics/Automation Engineering with bachelor or above degree, had equivalent 10 + years or above working experience.

  • Demonstrated experience and master in electronics circuit and system analysis, acknowledge the product design on reliability and electrical safety.

  • Abundant concept or experience on design documentation including requirement analysis, design input, testing and verification.

  • Had clear quality awareness and follow the related product design development working flow.

  • Demonstrated documentation, oral and written communication skills.

  • High attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.

  • Demonstrated experience working with a multi-discipline team.

Desired Characteristics :

  • Demonstrated experience on electronics and system design for medical electronics or relative industrial control domain, working on product maintenance and improvement tasks.

  • Demonstrated the product development compliant with regulatory and standard on medical device.

  • Ability to meet aggressive reliability, performance, cost, serviceability, and delivery targets.

  • Process change/improvement experience
