Ethos Veterinary Health Emergency & Neurology Licensed Veterinary Technician in Yonkers, New York

We are looking to add LVTs to our talented Emergency & Neurology departments!
ER Schedule:
Three 12-hour shifts
Days and Overnights Available!
Days: 8a – 8p
Overnights: 8p – 8a (shift differential)
Schedule would NOT be a combination of days and overnights unless requested.
Neuro Schedule:
Open to five 8-hour shifts or four 10-hour shifts
Schedules will be between the hours of 7:30a – 8p
Weekend Requirements:
One weekend per month
Every other weekend will be implemented in the future
Compensation:
$28 - $35 pending skills assessment leveling
Shift Differential
M-TH Overnights: Base + $4
F-Su Overnight: Base + $6
Sa/Su Days: Base + $4
Common Skills used within ER as an LVT:
Venipuncture & IV catheter placement
Triage & Assess patients/obtain vitals.
Critical thinking
Providing nursing care/monitoring to hospitalized patients.
Anesthesia, Surgery prep, Patient recovery
Running in-house lab testing & use of Cubex
Filling prescriptions/Dispensing oral and iv medications
Drug administration.
Radiographs
Provide client education!
ECG monitoring
Advanced CPR
RECOVER certification provided for all employees.
Advanced skills include (but are not limited to):
Central lines
Placing urinary catheters
Placing nasogastric tubes
Placing nasal cannulas
Maintaining indwelling tubes (chest tube, feeding tube)
Blood transfusions
About the Neurology Position:
As a Full-time Neurology Veterinary Technician at ASC, you'll play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional care to our patients. Here's what you'll be doing:
Utilizing your solid technical skills and anesthesia expertise to ensure optimal patient care.
Performing a wide range of duties including venipuncture, IV catheter placement, medication administration, digital radiography, patient prep and recovery, epidural administration, and anesthesia monitoring for various procedures including CT and MRI.
Providing invaluable assistance to our doctors during patient appointments, while also offering outstanding client communication and education.
Advocating for our patients' well-being by delivering compassionate nursing care and ensuring their comfort and safety at all times.
Collaborating with our dedicated team and fostering long-term relationships with colleagues, clients, and the community.
About You:

You are a confident, skilled, Veterinary Technician dedicated to outstanding client service and excellent patient care.
Strong experience with in-patient care, in-house laboratory operation, venipuncture, and radiology.
You understand that clear, effective communication among clients and team members is a priority and are dedicated to making a difference in the lives of patients and their families.
You understand the importance of maintaining a positive, respectful, uplifting hospital culture and genuinely love working with people that share that same value.
You’re not afraid to jump in and get your feet wet! A diligent worker who takes initiative and contributes to the operation of the entire hospital, you will help get all the day’s duties done!
