Position Overview: The Human Resources Manager will support the administrative functions of the HR department including talent management, onboarding, benefits, employment relations, leave management in compliance with Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), Federal, State, Local and employment laws.Agency Responsibilities/ Company Statement: Liberty Lines is a privately owned transportation company. General Duties/Responsibilities: •Responsible for processing and responding to confidential requests.•Acts as a liaison and actively supports department, employees, stakeholders, and all customers on a day-to-day basis regarding any HR related issues.•Responsible for partnering with the leadership team to understand and execute the company's human resources and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.•Responsible for managing the talent acquisition process, which may include recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants, particularly for managerial and professional roles.•Responsible for collaborating with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.•Coordinates employee on-boarding, orientations, and specialized training.•Conducts exit interviews.•Responsible for analyzing data matrix and making recommendations for quality improvement.•Develops new and updates current job descriptions.•Responsible for managing and auditing data entry for accuracy and rapid turnaround.•Responsible for supporting the Vice President and Director with special projects including evaluations, compensation, analytics, and succession planning.•Responsible for designing, running, and analyzing reports. •Acts as back-up for filing annual mandates such as Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO)-1 reports, BLS and any other Federal and State compliance mandates.•Responsible for recommending and initiating plans and procedural updates for the department and the company to improve workflow processes.•Adheres to legislation, federal, state, local and collective bargaining mandates.•Acts as backup for managing the HR department and providing mentoring and guidance in work activities.•Responsible for maintaining knowledge of benefit incentives, recruitment practices, EEO, ADA, ACA, COBRA, FMLA and all mandates.•Maintains and updates human resource records, such as organizational charts, employee handbooks, performance evaluation tools and other official documents. •Prepares weekly, monthly, quarterly, and year-end reports for management.•Provides management and subordinates with information regarding training, interviewing, counseling, and documentation practices.•Represents the company in public forums and events.•Responsible for assisting in the planning, preparing, and distribution of promotional content in print and social media on behalf of the company.Reporting Responsibilities:This position reports to the Director of Human Resources.Position Qualifications: •Bachelor’s degree required with a minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in an HR environment or an Associate’s degree with 10 years of HR experience.•Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in an HR department required.•SHRM-CP/PHR or CEBS a plus but not required.•Must have knowledge of operations, practice, and procedures in accordance with federal, state, and local employment laws.•Previous experience working in a Union environment required.•Must have professional knowledge of HRIS systems.•Must have advanced skills with Excel and Power Point. •Must have excellent time management skills with ability to self-manage. •Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal.•Must have excellent public speaking skills.Physical and Sensory Requirements:•Ability to maintain accuracy, confidentiality, and discretion.•Ability to sit in a sedentary position for an undefined amount of time.•Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.•Ability to stand, bend and lift.•Ability to read, write and converse in English.•Ability to evaluate information making independent decisions.•Ability to utilize quantitative mathematical measurements.•Ability to analyze data and develop recommendations. •Ability to remain calm, composed, and responsive in stressful situations.•Ability to travel to all work sites.

Minimum Salary: 70000 Maximum Salary: 83000 Salary Unit: Yearly
