Robert Half Credit and Revenue Manager in YORK County, Pennsylvania
Our client, a professional services company in the York County area seeks a Credit Manager to join their team!
The Credit & Revenue Manager is an important role on the Finance team and will be responsible for the careful management of clients for on-time and accurate payments while supporting the other positions and functions within the Finance team and the company overall.
Duties and Responsibilities of the successful Credit Manager will include:
Timely and accurate invoicing
Processing and reporting on credit checks
Maintaining receivables at 95% within 90 days or less
Work closely with Sales, Project Managers, and clients to resolve over 60 day old debt balances and invoicing and PO issues
Tactfully communicate with clients via email and verbal communications either in person or over the phone
Collect money from customers through tenacious follow through
Issue monthly Accounts Receivable (AR) statement balances
Produce and communicate monthly aging reports
Produce and communicate bad debt provision reports
Prepare and distribute supporting documentation for Sales and Use tax reports
Prepare supporting AR and revenue reports for commission calculations
Point of contact for processing Letters of Credit requests
AR support including data entry, filing, and reconciling balance sheet accounts
Assist with preparation for year-end accounting workpapers relating to cash and credit
The successful credit manager will have the following education and experience:
High school diploma or GED required
Credit control related qualifications or entry level accounting qualifications preferable
Knowledge of general accounting procedures
Experience working in ERP / Financial systems
Experience with Visual is desired but not required
3+ years’ experience in a credit role or billing function
Prior experience with Credit Control highly desired
Proficiency with MS Office, Excel, Word, and Outlook
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for interactions with customers, vendors, and internal customers
