Description

The accounts payable specialist will play a crucial role in the financial operations of the company by managing the payment process for goods and services purchased. We are seeking candidates with past experience in an accounts payable role as well as new college graduates looking to get their foot in the door.

Job Description:

• Process invoices, verify accuracy, and ensure timely payment to vendors.

• Reconcile vendor statements, resolve discrepancies, and respond to vendor inquiries.

• Review and code invoices, expense reports, and other payment requests.

• Maintain accurate records of accounts payable transactions and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

• Prepare and process electronic payments, including checks, ACH transfers, and wire transfers.

• Assist with month-end closing activities, such as accruals and reconciliations.

• Collaborate with other departments, such as purchasing and finance, to resolve payment-related issues.

• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices related to accounts payable processes.

• Participate in audits and provide support for audit inquiries related to accounts payable.

  Requirements

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as an accounts payable specialist or similar role preferred

• Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.

• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, especially Excel.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
