Program Overview

Aramark's Accelerate to Leadership (A2L) Program offers early career talent valuable work experience, mentorship from industry leaders, and professional training across a variety of environments and business areas. As a year-long development and training program designed for recent college graduates, A2L provides you with the resources you need to ignite your full potential and launch an accelerated career path at Aramark.

The Unit Controller - Associate assists the financial lead, including strategic, tactical, operational and special projects.

As the Unit Controller - Associate , this position supports the objectives of the accounting department performing payables, receivables, payroll, auditing and analysis as well as operational responsibilities for a specific unit. In addition, this position supports the operating staff needs of other departments. The Unit Controller - Associate is a strategic and analytic resource for the Business Unit, prepares labor reports, scheduled financial reports, requisite weekly, monthly, and annual reports. The Unit Controller - Associate works closely with the Senior Controller, Facility Director, Sr Operations Managers, Facility Managers, and Contracts Manager.

The schedule for this role is 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday. The summer months require a weekend day in addition to week days.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Take ownership of campus wide facilities, infrastructure and grounds, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance facility performance, operating effectiveness and cost efficiency.

  • Assist in the development of operations analysis and special projects involving systems and reporting, business improvement, cost analysis and others.

  • Assist in unit accounting.

  • Ensure that requirements for all sub-contract agreements meet ARA and client requirements.

  • Coordinate and ensure accurate reporting regarding production, quality and cost control; labor scheduling and staffing; employee training, MBE participation, and sub-contractor costing.

  • Respond to inquiries and requests from the client and client's customers and/or employees.

  • Respond to inquiries, requests and directives from ARAMARK operating units and other support functions.

What Makes You Right for This Role

  • Bachelor's Degree required, in Finance or Accounting preferred. (Must graduate between December 2020 - December 2022 to be eligible for the 2022 A2L Program)There are two start dates for the 2022 Program: April and July. All degree requirements must be completed prior to the start date of the program (including any final internship requirements).

  • Strong organizational and time management skills required.

  • Leadership skills, inclusive of supervisory responsibilities, team lead in a club/organization, and/or project management.

  • The ability to communicate in an appropriate, clear, and concise manner with customers, clients, employees and leadership.

  • Dynamic working skills to handle change and ambiguity in a fast-paced environment.

  • Cost control, budget responsibilities or inventory management experience desired.

  • Ability to work flexible hours, which may include nights, weekends or holidays according to business need.

  • Ability / willingness to relocate according to program or business needs.

  • Valid driver's license preferred.

  • Experience with and knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications.

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by Aramark for this position now or in the future.

This location requires all individuals working and living on site to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 by 01/18/2022.
